NUR 646 -Taught for a 2-hour lab to second-year students in skills lab how to administer IM injections.

NUR 646- Taught for a 2-hour lab on how to change an abdominal wound and care for a JP drain, with demonstration by students.
NUR 646—In clinical, educated students in oral and IV medication administration, improved assessment skills, and documented patient care effectively. Utilized both the nursing process and the CJM when providing nursing care to a complex patient population.
NUR 646 Delivered a four-hour lecture on Chapter 41, Intestinal and Rectal Disorders, for Med/Surg 1's Sophomore students.

Competency II: Facilitate Learner Development and Socialization

NUR 646 involves Teaching in a clinical setting, helping students understand their responsibilities in nursing by role, communicating with other team members, and modeling professional behavior.
NUR 646. During the simulation lab for the mental health patient population, role model professional interviewing questions and discussed how not to judge.
NUR 644 Teaching, Learning, and Evaluation in Nursing: PP presentation on Stress Management Training for Novice nurses with a research paper on Resilience Training for nursing students and new nurses. The focus is on helping nurses develop healthy emotional health to deal with the stress associated with the transition from school to profession.

Competency III: Use Assessment and Evaluation Strategies

NUR 646 Skills/Simulation post lab time evaluations with post quiz and skills list checklist.
NUR 646 During the semester at Curry College, analysis review with the professor to evaluate the understanding of content from Med/Surg lecture with test review and test statistics.

Competency IV: Participate in Curriculum Design and Evaluation of Program Outcomes

NUR 642 Curriculum Development in Nursing (3 credits) Worked in a collaborative group where we developed a new four-year nursing program, created a BSN curriculum, and developed a systematic plan for program evaluation. Developed a syllabus for a second-year BSN course, program outcomes, policies, evaluations, and methods of instruction.
NUR 645 Teaching in Clinical and Technology-Enhanced Environments is a research paper on the use of Virtual Reality in classrooms.
NUR 645. I created a Google Classroom on Nursing Fundamental Skills with a syllabus, program outcomes, assignments, and rubrics.

NUR 512 Physiologic Knowledge in Patient Care: Worked on collaborative case studies focusing on assessment findings, medications, and barriers to health care, focusing on SODH and the newest treatments in the most common disease processes in the US.

NUR 511 Translating Research Evidence for Advanced Nursing Practice. Systemic Review Poster and Presentation. Final Research Paper on Resilience Training for Nursing Students and New Nurses
NUR 614 Advanced Pathophysiology: Case Study on cardiovascular health in an African American woman, and the medication interventions, and social determinants of health that affect her health outcomes.

Competency VIII: Function within the Education Environment

NUR 520 focused on the social, economic, and institutional forces in the US Healthcare Delivery System landscape. It explored its multifaceted components, including the diverse levels of regulation, financial hurdles, and institutional oversight that govern and shape healthcare provision, with weekly discussion posts on various topics.
NUR 520-Designed a healthcare system with the various local, state, and federal government agencies, insurance companies, hospital organizations, pharmaceutical companies, and other stakeholders.
NUR 510: PP and Research paper on the Personal Health Record in the US and how this technology can help patients.
NUR 645 Practicum, worked with Curry College BSN Coordinator of Traditional Program and learned about the admission process, curriculum development, NCLEX results, and other challenges within nursing school programs.
NUR 642. This collaborative project addressed the institutional and political criteria necessary to establish a BSN program in Massachusetts.
